Built in 1910, this iconic structure has witnessed the evolution of our mountain community, and as its current custodians, we’re honored to transform it into a gathering place where meaningful connections flourish for generations to come.

From Model Ts to Mountain Elegance
The Orpheum’s rich history began in the early 1900s when it housed both a thriving Model T dealership at street level and one of approximately 20 Orpheum theaters across the country upstairs.
For decades, locals knew this building was special, even as it weathered periods of neglect. Many Buena Vista residents share stories of attending basketball games here years ago or watching the building change through different eras.
In 2022, our journey to restore The Orpheum began with a vision: to honor the building’s authentic character while creating Colorado’s most distinctive event venue. We stripped away layers of quick fixes to rediscover original concrete floors once traversed by Model Ts, and preserved century-old wooden beams that tell the story of craftsmanship from another era.
This transformation hasn’t been simply cosmetic—it’s been a thoughtful reimagining of how this historic space can serve today’s celebrations while maintaining its soul.
